The original plan was Land’s End to John O’Groats. But that wasn’t far enough. So, naturally, I decided to ride across Europe instead. In May 2016, I set off from Porto with a rough plan to reach Munich. Six weeks, 3,200 kilometers, and countless pastries later, I actually made it.
Highlights reel: 40 days in 4 minutes
I carried a GoPro to document the suffering. Below is a supercut of the trip—15 minutes of time-lapse captured every morning, noon, and afternoon, plus a few full videos, condensed into four minutes.
Journal
I documented the adventure, daily to begin with, then later on each rest day (mostly to prove I was still alive). Below is the complete journal, including a link to each Strava ride for those of you that believe if it wasn’t on Strava it didn’t happen.
